Division 7 Round 2 Overview:

Region 1:

District 1 - Ishpeming Westwood at Lake City: Westwood travels to Lake City for 1 pm kickoff on Saturday and we believe Lake City will be ready for them.

Prediction: Lake City 28-15

District 2 - St. Louis at Breckenridge: Breckenridge and St. Louis each had their first playoff wins in school history this past week. Now that they have a win under their belt, Breckenridge should be more confident to win again in the playoffs.

Prediction: Breckenridge 28-10

Region 2:

District 1 - Pewamo-Westphalia at New Lothrop: The defending champs, PW will travel to New Lothrop in what is an absolute key game in Division 7. Surprisingly this will only be their 2nd all-time meeting as New Lothrop beat P-W in the regular season a few years ago.

Prediction: Pewamo-Westphalia 21-14

District 2 - Laker at Cass City: This important Thumb game will feature two of the best in the area. Laker has won an incredible 9 games in a row since dropping to Hudson in week 1.

Prediction: Laker 22-18

Region 3:

District 1 - Maple Valley at Saugatuck: This district was for the taking and the Indians should be able to do just that this week.

Prediction: Saugatuck 35-7

District 2 - Reading at Cassopolis: Both teams have been extremely impressive this year, but haven't won a marquee game. The winner will be favored to reach the D7 semi-final.

Prediction: Cassopolis 24-17

Region 4:

District 1 - Monroe St. Mary Catholic Central at Hudson: Hudson has been red hot this year and will face local power, SMCC who has been beaten up pretty badly from the Huron League but have the pieces to make a long run in November.

Prediction: Hudson 17-13

District 2 - Riverview Gabriel Richard at Madison: Gabriel Richard won late vs. Lutheran Northwest in a upset and will look to make it two upsets in a row. Madison is looking to pick up the points more after being held to 14-0 last week.

Prediction: Madison 28-13
