Region 1:

Traverse City Central has pulled off two straight upsets to win their district and will be the underdog when they travel to Forest Hills Central on Saturday night. Forest Hills Central upset #9 Mona Shores last week, unfortunately for them the game and season will be remembered by a vicious low tackle on a Mona Shores lineman that resulted in a torn MCL. Forest Hills Central has been playing great this year, but TC Central has lately as well so something must give on Friday night.

Prediction: Forest Hills Central 20-14

Region 2:

Livonia Franklin has pulled off 2 nice upsets in the previous 2 weeks as the #29 ranked Patriots knocked out #7 Walled Lake Western and #22 Livonia Churchill, as you see Franklin isn't pulling off crazy upsets or anything, they're on the edge of the top 25. Franklin will now be the favorites, who would have guessed from looking at that bracket 2 weeks ago, when they a 4 seed by the MHSAA. Flushing has had an equally impressive route as they knocked off perennial power Lowell in Round 1 before avenging a loss to Fenton and their high-powered offense.

Prediction: Livonia Franklin 19-13
